About the role

The Medical Director, Oncology Clinical Development – GU will serve as the physician within the clinical program team, providing medical expertise across study design, conduct, safety oversight, and data interpretation. Based initially at Stevenage with a planned move to Cambridge, this senior role ensures patient safety and clinical integrity throughout study execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead medical monitoring activities for assigned clinical studies, including real‑time eligibility decisions and safety oversight.
• Interpret clinical and safety data from a physician perspective to inform study‑level and program‑level decisions.
• Provide medical input into protocol development, ensuring clinical relevance, patient safety, and operational feasibility.
• Participate in safety review forums such as Safety Review Teams, IDMC reviews, and internal governance meetings.
• Contribute to regulatory documents, Health Authority interactions, and scientific communications including study reports and congress materials.
• Engage with investigators and Key External Experts to support study conduct and scientific exchange.
• Serve as a core member of the Clinical Matrix Team, representing the medical voice in cross‑functional decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Regulatory, and Pharmacovigilance to align on study objectives and data quality.
