About the role
The Quality Inspector will ensure that all ceramic components produced by Precision Ceramics meet rigorous quality standards and customer specifications. The role involves inspecting raw materials, in‑process parts and finished products, identifying defects and supporting continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct visual, dimensional and functional inspections of ceramic components at various production stages.
- Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM and optical devices to verify conformity.
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for complex inspections.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications and inspection plans.
- Record inspection results in line with internal documentation and ISO standards.
- Identify, report and document non‑conformances and assist with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company quality objectives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a quality inspection role, preferably within ceramics, aerospace, precision engineering or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques and metrology equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
- Good IT skills for data entry and use of inspection software.
