Quality Specialist

About the role

The Quality Specialist will support quality, safety, health and environmental compliance across engineering and manufacturing projects, ensuring processes, systems and deliverables meet regulatory, customer and industry standards. Working closely with operational, engineering and project teams, the role drives governance, supplier compliance and continuous improvement in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain company QSHE management systems.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and industry standards across projects and manufacturing activities.
• Assist with internal and external audits, supplier assessments and compliance reviews.
• Manage non‑conformances, corrective actions and root‑cause investigations.
• Support document control, quality records and governance reporting activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and project teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain inspection and compliance documentation such as ITPs and LTQRs where required.
• Promote a positive QSHE culture and adherence to procedures and best practice.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a QSHE, SHEQ, Quality or Compliance role.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, compliance and governance processes.
• Experience supporting audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
• Nuclear industry experience desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) advantageous.

• Salary £45,000‑£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
