About the role

Join the vibrant Front Office team at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole as a Receptionist on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave. You will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering warm hospitality and ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, verify details, assign rooms, issue keys and provide welcome information.
• Process departures, verify charges, handle payments and issue receipts using the point‑of‑sale system.
• Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, rates, promotions and local attractions.
• Promote hotel services and up‑sell amenities to maximise revenue.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, resolve concerns and manage communications efficiently.

Required profile

• Customer‑service focused with experience working at a busy hotel reception.
• Flexible availability for evening and weekend shifts.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale and hotel front‑desk systems.
