Receptionist – Medical Assessment Unit / Minor Injuries Clinic

About the role
The role provides high‑quality support in the daily operation of the Medical Assessment Unit, Minor Injuries Clinic and Same‑Day Emergency Care (SDEC). You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth front‑desk and administrative processes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver front‑desk and telephone service for patients attending the Medical Assessment Unit, Minor Injuries Clinic and SDEC.
- Perform all administrative duties required to keep the department running efficiently, including patient registration, record keeping and appointment scheduling.
- Support clinical staff by preparing documentation and managing patient flow.
- Ensure compliance with NHS policies, including equality, diversity and data protection standards.
Required profile
- Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Must hold a valid PVG Scheme membership (adult and/or child) or be able to obtain one before starting.
- Ability to work shift patterns as required by the service.
- Commitment to NHS values and to providing a respectful, inclusive service.
