Regulatory Reporting Accountant

About the role

A leading financial institution in London is looking for a Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join its Finance team. You will be responsible for producing and delivering regulatory reports at both bank‑only and consolidated levels, ensuring compliance with domestic regulators and supporting the parent bank.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit regulatory reports for bank‑only and consolidated entities according to the regulatory timetable.
• Maintain technical documentation that supports regulatory interpretations and judgments.
• Collaborate with Finance, Prudential Risk, Treasury, Credit, IT and Mortgage Operations to share information and resolve issues.
• Present regulatory returns to senior management for review and ensure internal standards are met before external filing.
• Perform source‑data reconciliations and resolve breaks to guarantee data integrity.
• Execute key control checks on regulatory returns and update process playbooks with four‑eyes reviews.
• Monitor compliance with external risk limits, internal actions and KRI triggers, providing timely updates.
• Communicate process or procedural changes to the business and document operational processes for regulatory reporting software.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of CRR/PRA rulebook, Bank of England guidelines and Basel 3.1 regulations.
• Proven experience handling regulator enquiries and senior‑management queries.
• Ability to liaise effectively with IT and Risk teams.
• Solid accounting background with strong balance‑sheet expertise.
• Comfort working under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.

• Familiarity with Vermeg regulatory reporting software.
• Familiarity with Regnology regulatory reporting software.
