Reliability Engineer

About the role

British Engineering Services is looking for a Reliability Engineer to join its Asset Reliability team. You will work across South Scotland and North East England, helping customers keep their assets compliant, operational and safe through advanced condition‑based maintenance techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Perform condition‑based maintenance using vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography and oil analysis.
• Collect and analyse equipment performance, failure data and corrective maintenance history.
• Assess machine performance, produce reports and recommend improvements.
• Specify, install and commission online, wireless or remote sensor systems.
• Deliver a high level of customer service while representing the company professionally.

Required profile

• Background in engineering within marine, rail or manufacturing environments.
• Level 1 Vibration Analysis certification (or working towards it).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
• Mechanical engineering qualification (Level 3 or higher) is highly regarded.
