Relief Cook & Housekeeping Staff – Flexible Bank Role

About the role

We are looking for compassionate individuals to join our Sheltered Housing team on a relief basis. In this dual role you will prepare meals, support residents with daily needs, and keep communal areas tidy, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for older adults.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve home‑cooked meals for residents, manage food stock and rotation.
• Act as the first point of contact for residents, offering friendly assistance with daily tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in communal areas through regular housekeeping.
• Promote resident wellbeing by fostering respect, empowerment, and community connection.

Required profile

• Empathetic, caring nature with a desire to support older people.
• Willingness to work flexible, zero‑hours shifts.
• Eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory references and a basic DBS check (cost covered).
• Open to candidates with no prior experience – full training provided.
