Repairs Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Repairs Officer to manage property repair requests for a not‑for‑profit organisation in Manchester. You will act as the main point of contact between tenants, contractors and the property team to ensure repairs are completed promptly and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and log repair requests from tenants and other stakeholders.
• Liaise with contractors to schedule work and monitor progress.
• Verify that repairs meet agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repair activities, costs and documentation.
• Communicate updates to tenants regarding the status of their repairs.
• Conduct post‑repair inspections and help resolve any disputes.

Required profile

• Experience in property repairs or maintenance coordination, preferably within the not‑for‑profit sector.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach with attention to detail.
• Comfort working with both internal teams and external contractors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software or similar systems.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £16‑£20, dependent on experience.
