Reserving Analyst – Actuarial Role

About the role
Goodman Masson, in partnership with a leading Lloyd's Syndicate, is expanding its actuarial team. The Reserving Analyst will support the Head of Reserving, contributing to quarterly and annual reserve reviews and taking part in analytics, capital modelling and pricing projects. This position is ideal for a junior actuary with around one year of experience.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct quarterly and annual reserve reviews.
- Assist in analytics, capital modelling and pricing initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports for senior stakeholders such as the Chief Actuary and CUO.
- Support data analysis and actuarial research activities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve reserving processes.
Required profile
- Approximately one year of actuarial experience.
- Progress in IFoA examinations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and communicate with senior stakeholders.
Required skills
- Proficiency in R.
- Proficiency in Python.
