Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor – Milton Keynes

About the role

We are seeking a qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer to join our Milton Keynes office. The successful candidate will manage their own residential conveyancing portfolio, delivering end‑to‑end service to clients in a supportive, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a full caseload of freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new‑build transactions from instruction to completion.
• Provide clear, practical advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
• Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds and other legal documentation.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and fellow solicitors.
• Conduct title investigations, manage exchange and completion, and complete post‑completion formalities such as SDLT returns and Land Registry filings.
• Ensure compliance with AML regulations and firm procedures, and maintain accurate records in the case‑management system.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 1 year post‑qualification experience in residential conveyancing.
• Proven ability to manage an independent caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and client‑care abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case‑management software and general IT applications.
• Knowledge of AML compliance, SDLT filing and Land Registry processes.
