Restructuring & Insolvency Manager

About the role

Menzies is seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Manager to join its Restructuring & Insolvency team in London. You will manage a diverse portfolio of corporate insolvency appointments, provide strategic advice and lead a small team of professionals. This role offers the chance to develop leadership skills while working closely with Partners and Directors on complex restructuring assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and progress a portfolio of corporate insolvency matters.
• Lead, appraise and develop the team, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
• Communicate with directors, shareholders and employees on case progress.
• Assist the team with case strategy and hold regular portfolio review meetings.
• Provide training and review the output of junior staff.
• Support business development activities and monitor investigations.
• Ensure high‑quality, timely delivery of all assignments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a portfolio of insolvency appointments independently.
• Qualified by experience; CPI (or equivalent), JIEB or ACCA/ACA advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and practice.
• Experience supervising and developing junior staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High commercial awareness and strong problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines with attention to detail.
