Revenue Controller (12 month Fixed-Term)

About the role

The Finance team of a leading legal business is seeking a Revenue Controller on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will play a pivotal role in managing the firm’s billing processes, supporting system upgrades and ensuring accurate revenue reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and optimisation of a firm‑wide billing system upgrade and act as the primary contact for billing queries.
• Assist with the rollout of new billing templates, workflows and process improvements across the business.
• Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on billing processes and system functionality.
• Manage the end‑to‑end billing cycle, including preparation, review and posting of invoices.
• Ensure costs, expenses and third‑party charges are accurately recorded and billed.
• Review work‑in‑progress (WIP) balances and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve timely invoicing.
• Monitor and process electronic invoices via e‑billing platforms.
• Supply accurate billing, revenue and WIP information to fee earners and management teams.
• Work closely with finance colleagues to support revenue collection and resolve billing queries.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to drive efficient billing and revenue management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in revenue control and end‑to‑end billing within a legal or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of e‑billing platforms, WIP management and invoicing processes.
