Risk Manager – Pension Risk Transfer

About the role

This position is a senior, business‑facing risk role within a leading insurer’s fast‑growing Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) division. You will leverage deep Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) expertise to influence risk, governance and strategic decisions across the PRT business.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders across the PRT business to provide risk oversight and challenge BPA transactions.
• Support assessment and management of operational and business risks.
• Lead risk reviews, governance activities and change‑risk assessments.
• Monitor risk indicators and deliver insights to senior stakeholders.
• Help shape and strengthen the overall risk and control environment.

Required profile

• Strong experience within the Bulk Purchase Annuity market.
• Deep understanding of BPA transactions, processes and commercial drivers.
• Experience operating in a regulated financial‑services environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Analytical, proactive and solutions‑focused mindset.
