Roadside Rescue Mechanic (Northampton)

About the role

Join the UK’s largest motoring organisation as a Roadside Rescue Mechanic. You’ll be the friendly face that gets members back on the road quickly, working across varied locations and weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Start and finish each shift from your own driveway, being paid for the whole time you are in the van.
• Work independently on roadside incidents while remaining part of a supportive team.
• Use your technical knowledge to diagnose and fix breakdowns on the spot.
• Communicate clearly with customers to ensure a positive experience.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full Category B driving licence with six points or fewer.
• Comfortable using new technology and tools provided by The AA.
• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
