Room Leader

About the role

Kindred Nurseries is looking for a motivated Room Leader to join its Edmonton site in London. You will help create a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive while supporting the manager and fellow leaders in delivering high‑quality early years education.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Manager and other Room Leaders to maintain the highest standards of care and education.
• Organise and keep the room environment safe, tidy and engaging.
• Maintain accurate records and follow all procedural requirements.
• Promote the setting as a top choice for families and staff in the local area.
• Model best practice in line with regulatory guidelines.
• Inspire, coach and develop a team of practitioners.
• Assist with the induction of new team members.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Good time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Full and relevant Early Years Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher.
• Desirable: experience leading a team, current paediatric first‑aid certificate, safeguarding and child‑protection training, and a food‑hygiene certificate.

• Early Years Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or higher).
