SAP Finance Architect

About the role

Altum Consulting is partnering with a major UK organisation to lead a finance technology transformation. As an SAP Finance Architect you will design and govern the end‑to‑end SAP finance landscape, guiding the move from SAP ECC and RISE to S/4HANA and integrating with banking platforms, tax engines and other enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable SAP finance architectures and integration models using SAP BTP, CPI and APIs.
• Support S/4HANA migration programmes and broader finance transformation initiatives.
• Translate finance requirements into technical designs, roadmaps and architecture blueprints.
• Lead architecture governance, data‑flow standards and integration compliance.
• Oversee SAP and non‑SAP integrations, testing, deployment and regulatory alignment.
• Shape the organisation’s finance technology roadmap, reduce technical debt and promote cloud‑based SAP capabilities such as SAP Analytics Cloud and Datasphere.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, FICO, BTP and CPI.
• Strong understanding of finance processes (P2P, R2R, O2C).
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale SAP transformation or system conversion programmes.
• TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture expertise is highly advantageous.
