Scheduling Assistant - Sky Sports (12-month FTC)

About the role

Sky Sports UK Planning & Scheduling plans, schedules and delivers content across the linear channel and streaming portfolio, managing schedules across 11 linear channels and streaming platforms. As a Scheduling Assistant you will work closely with the Linear Programme Schedulers to support schedule creation and reconciliation in broadcast systems and the team's administrative duties. It suits someone starting their career in sports broadcasting who is organised and passionate about sports content.

Key responsibilities

• Daily programme reconciliation of Sky Sports channel output in BSS
• Scheduling of VCID triggers to aid anti-piracy
• End-to-end planning of Sky Sports News, working with the News team to ensure accuracy
• Help programme planners produce, manage and maintain accurate, creative schedules for one or more of the 11 channels
• Liaise with Viewer Relations on customer queries and help deliver a seamless customer experience
• Assist with Rights Management data entry
• Communicate with other parts of the business and build relationships with SPS, Production, Playout Operations, Scheduling Operations, Sky Media, Marketing, PR and Acquisitions
• Ensure compliance with Sky's Health & Safety regulations and carry out other additional requirements

Required profile

• Excellent knowledge and demonstrable passion for sport
• Background or work experience in broadcasting or streaming is desirable
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Understanding of how audiences consume sport

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
• Good knowledge of Sky, its multimedia products and platforms, including On Demand, Merchandising, PPV, Interactive Scheduling and digital platforms
