School Effectiveness Lead – Standards and Inclusion

About the role

The School Effectiveness Lead – Standards and Inclusion will work with a local authority education service to raise standards and champion inclusive practice across schools. This hybrid, part‑time position combines strategic leadership with direct engagement in schools to improve outcomes for all learners, including vulnerable and SEND pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong partnerships with headteachers, senior leaders and wider education stakeholders.
• Provide high‑quality challenge and support to schools to improve standards and outcomes.
• Promote and develop inclusive practice across the education system.
• Support vulnerable learners and ensure equality of opportunity for all pupils.
• Lead strategic school improvement initiatives and programmes.
• Analyse performance data and identify priorities for improvement.
• Deliver leadership development, training and professional learning opportunities.
• Collaborate across education, SEND, inclusion and wider children’s services.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience within education.
• Proven track record of driving school improvement and raising standards.
• Strong understanding of inclusion, SEND and provision for vulnerable learners.
• Ability to influence, challenge and support school leaders.
