School Finance Assistant – Sage Intacct

About the role

We are looking for an organised Finance Assistant to support the day‑to‑day financial operations of a busy school in East London. Working closely with the Finance Manager, Trust Financial Controller and senior leadership, you will help keep financial processes running smoothly on a weekly rolling contract.

Key responsibilities

• Raise requisitions and convert them into Purchase Orders using Sage Intacct, following approval procedures.
• Process invoices for monthly BACS payments.
• Manage the shared finance inbox, responding to staff and supplier queries.
• Set up and maintain supplier records in the system.
• Place orders and ensure accurate financial records.
• Provide ad‑hoc finance and administrative support to the wider team.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Finance Assistant or in a similar finance administration role.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage workload accurately under pressure.
• Willingness to complete the Enhanced DBS registration and hold (or obtain) an Update Service subscription.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Sage Intacct.
