About the role
The School of Arts and Humanities is looking for a motivated IT Technician to join its dedicated IT team. This front‑line position provides day‑to‑day IT and audiovisual support to staff and students across multiple faculties and specialist institutions.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support queries.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices.
- Maintain and support teaching spaces, meeting rooms and AV equipment.
- Assist with device setup, configuration and routine maintenance.
- Collaborate with local IT staff and the wider university IT community.
- Contribute to service improvements and share knowledge within the team.
Required profile
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting end users in a technical environment.
- Confidence working across multiple operating systems.
- Collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Education to A‑Level standard or equivalent experience.
