Science Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a respected secondary school in Tameside, Manchester. The role starts in September 2026 and runs for the full academic year, delivering the science curriculum to Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work within a collaborative team of teachers and have access to well‑equipped science laboratories.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons across biology, chemistry and physics.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Promote scientific inquiry through practical experiments and classroom discussions.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in the laboratory.
• Adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs and support inclusive education.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum development and school‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching science at secondary level is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to inspire pupils.
• Commitment to the school’s ethos of inclusive education.
• Ability to use digital learning platforms and classroom technology.
