Security Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our Birmingham office, its employees and visitors. The role involves monitoring access, operating CCTV, responding to incidents and supporting health‑and‑safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the premises, issue and check ID badges and maintain visitor logs.
• Operate and monitor CCTV and alarm systems, conduct regular patrols and report suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms or emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when required.
• Carry out safety inspections, ensure compliance with fire, first‑aid and evacuation procedures.
• Maintain accurate incident records, daily activity logs and prepare regular security reports.
• Provide courteous assistance to employees and visitors on security‑related queries.

Required profile

• Professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with staff and visitors.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including day and night patterns.
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
