SEN Teaching Assistant (16‑24 year olds)

About the role
This full‑time position supports 16‑24 year old learners with special educational needs (SEND) in a mainstream Further Education setting. The role starts on 1 September 2026, runs Monday‑Friday 8:30‑15:30, and will continue until the end of the term with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to SEND students, helping them achieve academic and personal goals.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning plans.
- Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
- Offer personalised assistance on an individual basis as required.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting learners with SEND is highly preferred.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced Child & Adult DBS check.
- Relevant educational qualifications or credentials.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach.
- Genuine passion for the development of diverse learners.
