About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant special‑needs school in Peterborough. The school supports learners aged 7‑19 with learning difficulties and additional needs, offering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and group support to students with special educational needs, helping them engage with the curriculum.
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Prepare teaching materials, resources and classroom activities in line with lesson plans.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to senior staff.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children who have special educational needs.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated approach to supporting pupils’ learning and development.

• Competitive salary between £24,000 and £27,000 per year.
• Permanent full‑time contract (08:30‑15:30, Monday‑Friday).
