About the role
We are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to lead the SEND provision in a primary school in West London. The role starts in September and offers a permanent contract, providing strategic leadership to ensure every pupil receives the support they need.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the school’s SEND provision, ensuring high‑quality inclusive teaching.
- Manage EHCPs, annual reviews and all statutory SEND processes.
- Support and mentor teachers to deliver tailored interventions.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, local authorities and external professionals.
- Monitor student progress and implement effective interventions.
- Contribute to the school’s leadership on inclusion and student wellbeing.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete it.
- Previous experience as a SENCO or in a senior SEND leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for students with additional needs.
- Residence within or ability to commute to West London.
