SEND, Equality & Exclusions Specialist

About the role

As a SEND, Equality & Exclusions Specialist you will join a forward‑thinking education organisation that prioritises inclusion and high standards across its schools. Working from Manchester you will support multiple sites, ensuring that policies and decisions are transparent, consistent and compliant with current legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to senior leaders on SEND, equality and school exclusions matters.
• Lead complex casework, contribute to panels and reviews, and help shape organisational policies.
• Interpret and apply relevant legislation to real‑world scenarios across the trust.
• Promote consistency, accountability and continuous improvement in inclusion practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to support fair and lawful outcomes for pupils.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in a school, multi‑academy trust or local authority setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEND, equality and exclusions legislation and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to work objectively.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and contribute to policy development.
