SEND Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Manchester. The role starts in September and offers a daily rate of £100. You will work closely with teachers and the school's SEND team to provide tailored support for students with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Assist in planning and delivering Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Promote an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
• Support lesson activities and adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and relay feedback to teachers and the SENDCo.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in schools or educational settings.
• Strong understanding of SEND and effective support strategies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach when working with young people.
