SEND Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School – Manchester

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Manchester. The role starts in September and offers a daily rate of £100. You will work closely with teachers and the school's SEND team to provide tailored support for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Assist in planning and delivering Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Promote an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
- Support lesson activities and adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Monitor pupil progress and relay feedback to teachers and the SENDCo.
Required profile
- Previous experience working in schools or educational settings.
- Strong understanding of SEND and effective support strategies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Calm, patient, and empathetic approach when working with young people.
