About the role
Our welcoming primary school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our specialist hub. You will work with a small group of 5‑8 pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting children with autism, ADHD and social communication difficulties.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils through small‑group activities and targeted interventions.
- Assist with behaviour regulation and provide emotional support.
- Help maintain a structured, engaging classroom environment.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, another TA and the wider SEND team.
- Provide feedback and observations to track pupil progress.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children with SEND, especially autism or ADHD.
- Patient, resilient and positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build supportive relationships.
- Genuine passion for helping pupils with additional needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
