Senior Accountant – International Bank (Hybrid, London)

About the role

This senior accountant position sits within an established international bank’s small UK team in London. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week in the office, and offers hands‑on responsibility across financial reporting, management accounts, reconciliations and business support in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead junior team members while performing daily accounting tasks.
• Assist with management accounts and regulatory financial reporting (Bank of England, head‑office).
• Support month‑end close, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare accruals, pre‑payments, expense analysis and VAT returns.
• Contribute to budgeting, audit processes and regulatory reporting.
• Produce financial data and management information for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Experience in a regulated banking or financial‑services environment.
• Background in an SME or small team where hands‑on work is essential.
• Proven experience across reporting, month‑end and management accounting.
• Strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
