Senior Accountant

About the role

Polaris is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in London. You will support monthly and year‑end reporting, produce key internal and external financial deliverables, and ensure statutory filing compliance. The role offers a hybrid work pattern with three days a week in the office (Banbury and occasional visits to other sites).

Key responsibilities

• Manage the annual statutory audit and tax compliance process, including CT returns and computations.
• Lead preparation of the Group’s full‑year financial statements.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations for all group companies.
• Oversee client account bank reconciliations and cash payment preparation.
• Process monthly Group recharges and maintain debt and equity schedules.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with experience in practice or industry.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Competent use of Microsoft PowerPoint.
