Senior Analyst – 1st Line Security Controls Testing

About the role

The newly created Vocalink Control Office is looking for a Senior Analyst to join the 1st Line Control Testing team. You will support the execution of control testing across security domains for Vocalink Limited, a Bank of England‑regulated critical national infrastructure provider.

Key responsibilities

• Execute periodic testing of key and non‑key controls following the Control Testing Methodology.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness against internal policies, standards, regulatory requirements and customer obligations.
• Collect evidence from control owners, prepare test documentation and record results.
• Identify control deficiencies, escalate to the manager and follow up on remediation.
• Monitor the control testing mailbox and respond to queries promptly.
• Collaborate with 1st Line teams, 2nd Line Security partners and Internal Audit to ensure transparent testing outcomes.
• Contribute to management information, dashboards and thematic analysis for governance forums.
• Provide input to improve testing efficiency and consistency while staying aware of regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in control testing within a security or risk‑management environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and communicate findings clearly.
