Senior Application Support Analyst (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst to join the Wholesale IT division of a global specialty insurer operating in the Lloyd’s market. The role will support core insurance applications, including the Eclipse PAS platform, in a hybrid London office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for business‑critical insurance applications within the Wholesale division.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and application‑related issues promptly.
• Write and run SQL queries to analyse problems, validate data and aid troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors and internal stakeholders during incidents, upgrades and changes.
• Support release management, operational checks and ongoing application monitoring.
• Maintain clear technical documentation, process notes and support procedures.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and resilience.
• Communicate technical issues effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Experience in application support, production support or service operations, preferably within insurance, financial services or another regulated environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement and operational ownership.
• Ability to work closely with business users and third‑party vendors.
• Familiarity with ITIL, incident management or change management frameworks is advantageous.

Required skills

• SQL and database interrogation.
• Knowledge of Eclipse PAS or similar insurance platforms.
• Experience with SaaS application environments.
• Understanding of ITIL processes, incident and change management.
