About the role
We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead our Advisory team, delivering high‑quality architectural solutions across the UK. The role combines technical design leadership with people‑management responsibilities, ensuring projects meet quality, cost and programme targets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a small‑to‑medium technical team, supervising junior staff and acting as people manager when required.
- Prepare, review and approve designs, calculations, drawings and documentation for scheme deliverables.
- Control project budgets, monitor costs and ensure commercial success of the portfolio.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders at peer level, attend progress meetings and respond to queries.
- Contribute to bid preparation and business development activities.
- Work on‑site, including occasional out‑of‑hours visits, and act as Principal Designer where appropriate.
Required profile
- Registered Architect with the Architects Registration Board.
- Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
- Proven experience leading architectural teams and delivering projects independently.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of supplier services.
Required skills
- Proficiency with architectural design software and analytical tools.
- In‑depth knowledge of CDM regulations and risk assessment procedures.
- Ability to act as Principal Designer and manage health‑and‑safety risks.
- Experience in interface management and coordination of multidisciplinary deliverables.
- Budget control and cost management capabilities.
