Senior Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer

About the role

This is a senior engineering role focused on taking a modern, cloud-forward approach to platform development. You will work on a greenfield, AI-driven SaaS platform, building modern tools that bridge state-of-the-art technology with Framestore's world‑class film making and media production workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, manage, and scale secure, high‑availability cloud infrastructure using Terraform and modern orchestration tools following enterprise security standards.
• Drive developer enablement by building, optimizing, and maintaining powerful CI/CD deployment pipelines to streamline developer workflows and increase overall delivery velocity.
• Architect and efficiently scale cloud‑native serverless services and execution pipelines to support generative AI SaaS platform workflows and external clients.
• Embed robust enterprise cloud security practices, ensuring comprehensive data protection, secure network topologies, and compliance as the platform scales.
• Implement and enhance comprehensive platform telemetry, observability, logging, and monitoring systems to guarantee high system reliability and performance.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python and modern web frameworks (FastAPI, Asyncio).
• Proven senior experience developing, operating, and scaling cloud‑native SaaS applications and serverless architectures.
• Hands‑on expertise with containerisation (Docker) and serverless architectures (Cloud Run, Vertex AI).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with cloud security, authentication standards (OAuth, Identity Platform), and secure network topologies.
• A passion for developer enablement, improving team velocity, and fostering a "testable software" mentality.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing you to connect easily with both individuals and the wider team.
