Senior Commercial Lawyer – Fixed Term (6 months)

About the role

This newly created 6‑month fixed‑term position sits at the heart of a fast‑growing recruitment business. Reporting to the General Counsel for UK&I, you will act as a senior commercial lawyer, providing pragmatic, commercially‑focused advice across the full contract lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including statements of work, master services agreements, framework agreements, and client‑specific arrangements.
• Advise on risk allocation, liability, indemnities, pricing mechanisms, scope of services and delivery models specific to recruitment and professional services.
• Support bid, tender and RFP processes with timely legal input to enable commercial decision‑making.
• Provide counsel on supplier and third‑party service agreements, partnering with Procurement and Technology teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, delivering clear, solutions‑focused advice that balances legal risk with commercial objectives.
• Identify, assess and manage legal and regulatory risks, and help maintain contract templates, playbooks and best‑practice guidance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level commercial lawyer with strong commercial instincts and sound judgment.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex contracts quickly and accurately.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience in recruitment, professional services or similar fast‑paced environments.
