Senior D365 CE Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (D365 CE) implementation for a university admissions function. The role sits within a leading Microsoft digital transformation partner and will be based in Derby with a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of the D365 CE implementation programme, from mobilisation to adoption.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers and governance artefacts.
• Coordinate stakeholders across academic, professional services and administrative departments.
• Manage financial controls, including forecasting, timesheet tracking and invoicing.
• Drive delivery through internal teams, third‑party suppliers and university stakeholders.
• Provide regular reporting to senior leadership and programme governance boards.
• Support change‑management and user‑adoption activities within the university environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering enterprise CRM implementation projects.
• Strong background managing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM programmes.
• Experience in the Higher Education sector is highly desirable.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid commercial and financial governance experience.
• Ability to manage complex multi‑stream projects in matrix organisations.
• Experience working in hybrid delivery environments with onsite client engagement.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) / CRM.
• Project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
