Senior Data Engineer – Azure Data Factory & Power BI

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a market‑leading organisation in Birmingham. You will work in a collaborative, hybrid environment, driving the design, implementation and optimisation of our data pipelines and analytics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Azure Data Factory pipelines, ensuring reliable data movement across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from multiple divisions to translate data needs into scalable solutions.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reports that provide real‑time insights for business users.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes and architecture.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and integration issues to minimise downtime.
• Provide guidance on data architecture, security and governance within cloud environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Azure Data Factory in large‑scale organisations.
• Hands‑on experience integrating Fabric with other platforms.
• Strong background in extracting, transforming and loading data from complex ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Track record of mentoring junior team members and supporting cross‑functional projects.
