Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation

About the role

We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to lead our cloud transformation, modernise delivery pipelines and ensure platform reliability across a complex technology estate. You will work hands‑on with Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD tooling while shaping engineering standards and cloud capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Automate provisioning of Development, Test, Pre‑Production and Production environments.
• Create and manage YAML‑based CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Provision IaaS, SaaS and PaaS resources following best practices.
• Integrate automated testing into build and release pipelines.
• Maintain test environments and ensure consistency across releases.
• Implement secure data‑refresh processes with anonymisation.
• Use monitoring and observability tools to diagnose issues.
• Support development teams with performance, scalability and volume testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Artifacts, Pipelines).
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud migrations.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Git branching strategies.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Familiarity with SQL Server or NoSQL databases and networking fundamentals.
