Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to create detailed electrical system designs for a range of client projects, including remote handling, machinery controls, safety circuits and LV/ELV systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics, hook‑ups and design documentation using CAD tools.
• Lead risk assessments and hazard analyses for electrical systems.
• Support physical commissioning and in‑house testing activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complete electrical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical engineering, particularly in electrical design and low‑voltage systems.
• Track record of delivering designs for complex machinery such as remote handling equipment, robotics and motion‑control systems.

Required skills

• Electrical CAD software: Trimble (Amtech), PAScal, SEE.
• Electrical design and safety circuit expertise.
• Distributed I/O and low‑voltage system knowledge.
• Experience with remote handling, robotics and motion‑control technologies (encoders, resolvers).
