Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Corgi is building a vertically integrated insurance platform using AI and needs a senior engineer to lead the design and development of core systems that power underwriting, claims, finance, compliance and internal tooling. The role is based in the London office and offers high ownership from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain critical internal and customer‑facing software systems.
• Lead development of backend services, APIs and scalable infrastructure on AWS.
• Own major projects from architecture through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Partner with operations, finance, underwriting and leadership to automate complex workflows.
• Improve system reliability, performance, security and scalability while establishing engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Exceptional software engineering fundamentals with a strong product and business intuition.
• Comfortable operating with limited structure, high responsibility and relentless execution.
• Ability to balance speed with sound technical judgment and solve difficult technical challenges.
