Senior Manager – ABAS Services (Manchester)

About the role

This senior leadership position is focused on launching and growing the ABAS practice in Manchester for a leading UK accountancy firm. You will drive business development, manage client relationships and build a high‑performing team while ensuring top‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Launch and develop the Manchester ABAS offering from the ground up.
• Generate new client leads through networking, professional contacts and intermediary relationships.
• Convert opportunities into new business across the North West region.
• Support proposals, tenders and client presentations.
• Deliver exceptional client service across advisory, accounting and business support engagements.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and manage client risks.
• Recruit, coach, mentor and lead a growing Manchester‑based team.
• Maintain high technical standards, compliance and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development and client portfolio growth within professional services.
• Strong track record of building and leading high‑performing teams.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with senior business owners and management teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and uphold quality standards.
