Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Atelier Ten, a multidisciplinary environmental design consultancy, is seeking a proactive Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Manchester office. The role involves delivering high‑quality mechanical design solutions for sustainable building projects, working closely with architects, engineers, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design development through RIBA Stages 2, 3, and 4, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with electrical, plumbing, and structural disciplines to produce fully integrated MEP solutions.
• Manage and resolve design coordination issues by collaborating with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors.
• Attend and lead meetings with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure clear communication and smooth project delivery.
• Mentor junior staff, set technical standards, and ensure cohesive delivery across the team.
