Senior MEP BIM Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Senior MEP BIM Technician to lead the creation and coordination of high‑quality building information models for a multidisciplinary design practice in Birmingham. The role combines technical BIM expertise with collaboration across architects, engineers and other specialists to deliver technology‑driven construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, create and manage digital models within BIM workflows.
• Coordinate and integrate mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and structural data into BIM models.
• Prepare and review construction drawings, ensuring compliance with industry and project standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve BIM‑related issues to maintain project quality and timelines.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest BIM technologies and incorporate best practices.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to merge designs into cohesive digital models.
• Identify and resolve model conflicts using tools such as Revit and Navisworks.
• Support multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects that meet client expectations.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience managing and coordinating 3D digital project models.
• Strong understanding of building services, structural engineering and model data attribution.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
