Senior Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Consultant (UK)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with techno‑functional expertise in Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Management to support UK public‑sector clients. The role involves implementing, configuring and supporting the Absence modules, guiding projects through the full software development life‑cycle and translating complex solutions for both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead functional analysis, configuration and support for Oracle Fusion Absence Management for UK operations.
• Configure absence plans, types, eligibility profiles, accrual rules, certifications, balances, work schedules, public holidays and integrations with payroll/time modules.
• Translate UK absence policy requirements into scalable Fusion configurations and documented functional designs.
• Support end‑to‑end testing including unit, system integration, UAT, regression and payroll‑impact validation.
• Collaborate with payroll, HR operations and technical teams to resolve defects, data issues and integration failures.
• Prepare functional specifications for reports, extracts, integrations, conversions and Fast Formula requirements.
• Handle production incidents, root‑cause analysis, change requests, release regression and operational handover documentation.
• Engage business stakeholders to clarify requirements, present solution options and manage risks related to absence and payroll dependencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years of experience in Oracle Fusion HCM implementations, with a focus on UK Payroll and Absence modules.
• Strong knowledge of UK statutory leave regulations and public‑sector HR processes.
• Proven ability to lead client engagements, manage integrations, data migrations and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical solutions to diverse audiences.
