Senior PHP Developer

About the role

We are supporting a FTSE250 wealth‑management business that is heavily investing in technology, AI and automation. The Senior PHP Developer will join a small, hands‑on engineering team focused on building, developing and supporting modern applications and integrations across internal systems and external SaaS platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal applications and secure API‑led integrations (REST / GraphQL).
• Work with Azure PaaS services, including Azure Functions and App Services.
• Implement event‑driven and API‑based integration solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with development, engineering and project teams to modernise the technology estate.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on software engineering capability with production‑grade experience.
• Proven experience in API and integration development.
• Exposure to Azure cloud/platform services.
• Comfortable working in small engineering teams and taking technical ownership.
• Interest in modernisation, automation and cloud‑native development; financial‑services experience is a plus.
