Senior Platform Engineer – Developer Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Platform Software Engineer to join Preply’s Developer Platform team. You will own and evolve CI/CD systems, developer tooling and AI‑native workflows that enable engineers to ship code quickly, safely and autonomously.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate CI/CD pipelines and testing capabilities at scale.
• Develop internal platforms, services and tooling to improve developer experience and productivity.
• Integrate AI and agentic workflows into the software development lifecycle, establishing quality gates and safety nets.
• Participate in support and incident rotation, using data and feedback to continuously improve the platform.
• Partner with engineering teams to drive adoption of tooling and ensure smooth roll‑outs.

Required profile

• ~8 years of experience designing and building complex backend systems.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in CI/CD, reliability, performance and cost optimisation.
• Proficiency in Python for building platform services and automation.
• Experience with AI‑native development and agentic AI workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and a data‑driven mindset.
