Senior Portfolio and Control Manager

About the role

The Senior Portfolio and Control Manager will lead the Commission’s portfolio management, assurance and performance reporting functions. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will shape frameworks that ensure strategic objectives are met and that the organisation’s priorities are delivered efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly Portfolio and Performance reporting cycle, ensuring data quality and timely delivery.
• Lead portfolio prioritisation, managing the ‘front‑door’ intake and advising leaders on optimal project selections.
• Establish and maintain clear governance frameworks, standards and criteria for planning and performance management across the organisation.
• Coordinate reporting from projects and programmes, providing analysis at portfolio level and maintaining the delivery map and critical path.
• Drive continuous improvement of portfolio management maturity, processes and systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior portfolio, project or programme management within a public‑sector or regulated environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of planning and performance professionals.
