About the role
This position joins a high‑performing procurement team that provides strategic advice and tender management for several UK local authorities. The role involves delivering multiple procurement projects, ensuring value for money, and supporting the transformation of public services.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, from market analysis to contract award and implementation.
- Develop tender documentation, evaluation criteria, and run open tenders and mini‑competitions.
- Conduct supplier and market analysis to inform procurement strategy.
- Deliver training and guidance across council staff on procurement best practices.
- Work across a broad range of categories, including professional services, construction, facilities management, waste, IT, and fleet.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to achieve cost savings and innovative contract solutions.
